GAY BARS WITH THE BEST EVENTS IN DENVER

There’s a time and a place for everything and there’s a moment and an event for everyone. Maybe you have your go-to hang spot, or maybe you haven’t yet found the place for you. Either way, this little list will give you the run-down of all the hot spots, so you know the right place to go for the right occasion.

The following bars are event specialists. If you love a theme, and events allow you to shine, you’ll definitely want to check out these bars. Bars are bars, but they’re always more fun when they’re gay.

Tracks

Tracks goes above and beyond, always. There is no shortage of events, and there’s definitely an event for everyone. What kind of events, you ask? Well, they’ve got everything from drag shows to open mic to roller skating nights. And trust me, you don’t want to miss the latter.

Roll at tracks is like walking into another dimension. It’s like returning to those nights when your mom dropped you off at the rink with your friends, but with drinks, karaoke, and gay. You might fall on your ass while skating, but you won’t be the only one. Plus, they have sippy cups so you don’t spill your drink! If you’ve never skated, or skating’s just not your thing, don’t worry. It’s still a party. The music is always on point, and there are three massive dance floors and multiple bars to keep you going all night long.

Town Hall Collaborative

Town Hall Collaborative is a women-owned community gathering space that features a bar, cafe, live music, events, and a creative space for classes and artist studio rentals. Since they opened they haven’t had trouble filling their calendar with lots of queer and queer friendly events - including out own queer holiday party “Homo For the Holidays.”

X-Bar

Another bar with events out the wazoo is X-Bar. If you like to dance, look no further because X-Bar has all the energy you need. You can dance, you can sing, and you can even brunch on the weekends. Their drink specials are epic and their recurring events provide the consistency we all need – there is karaoke every Tuesday with 50% off all tequila drinks, and nothing goes hand in hand like tequila and karaoke, except gays and gay bars.

They’re celebrating 12 years this month, and it might get wild. If you like to celebrate, find an event at X-Bar and get your boogie on.

Blush & Blu

If you love a theme, you’ll love Blush & Blu. Walking into Blush & Blu is like walking into a holiday party with all of your favorite people. It’s the most humble, cozy, and welcoming place that sometimes doesn’t even feel like a bar. It’s the neighborhood dive that we all wish was our nightly hangout spot.

It’s one of the few lesbian bars left in the country, and it lives up to its potential. They’ve got themes and events every night of the week, and there’s something for every kind of bar goer. Blush & Blu is a family, and unlike your usual stressful family activities, events at B&B will feel like a warm hug.

Triangle

If you’re looking for a good time, Triangle will give it to you with class. Their chic interior and craft cocktails will have you feeling like you walked into a swanky gay speakeasy. It’s also very spacious, for dancing of course. To top it all off, they use sustainable products and have good farm-to-table food.

Triangle is always on point with the throwback events. We all love to sing and dance to our favorite songs from middle school dances; Triangle provides. Plus they have comedy shows and themed Brunch, plenty of ways to laugh with your people.

If you want a more low-key vibe, take it to one of the queer breweries around the city. Goldspot and Lady Justice are host to many a queer event, and sometimes can even live up to the party of some of the club events.

The best way to find out what events are coming up is to follow the bars on Instagram. You never know what you’ll find.
